Background
As a design retainer I work on various projects from reports and logos to videos and motion graphics in support of UNOPS organizations.
Challenges
With each project the team changes and our locations are in various time zones. Working in different languages and varying cultures requires adjusting the design approach with each project.

Project of the Year (POTA) Videos
Each your UNOPS highlights projects that have made a large impact on a global community. The story of each project is presented through a four minute video that shares the challenges faced by the communities, how UNOPS approached those challenges and the effects on the community now and in the future.


Design Thinking Manual
As part of UNOPS global innovation challenge, they introduced design thinking techniques to support teams working together to find innovative solutions to our world’s biggest challenges. The handbook and a deck of collaboration cards were the key training materials provided to global UNOPS members at the training symposium.
UNOPS “Define our DNA” Video
The project ‘Define our DNA’ was launched with the intention to design a future oriented Competency Framework developed by global personnel. The framework was launched through an introductory video that showcased each competency in the framework.


UNOPS Japan Microsite
UNOPS Japan identified a need to integrate a microsite as part of their overall communication toolbox. The goal of the site was to raise awareness of the projects the government of Japan is supporting through UNOPS initiatives.
Gender Dialogues: Unfinished Business
With the adoption of Sustainable Development Goal 5 by the UN General Assembly in 2015, gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls has achieved an unprecedented place at the centre of the global Agenda 2030. The first of a series of dialogues on driving gender equality forward was held at UN City in Copenhagen. Co-hosted by UNOPS and the Embassies of Australia, Ireland and Norway to Denmark, the event was joined by a panel of influential voices from public and private sectors, as well as civil society.


Initiative for Climate Action Transparency (ICAT) Branding
ICAT works to provide policymakers around the world with tools and support to measure and assess the impacts of their climate actions. They identified a need to establish branded materials for the iniative as their work and collaborations grew through global partnerships.
