Toys for Tots Gift Wrap
This was a project during graduate school at SCAD. The objective was to work with a non-profit to design a piece of creative they could use as part of the marketing efforts.
The goal of the wrapping paper was to build off the foundations mission to provide children with gifts during the holidays. But the question I was trying to answer was how could individuals spread the word about Toys for Tots in a tasteful manner that didn’t feel like advertising? The wrapping paper could be used to wrap any type of gift and aims to start the conversation about the foundation with a questions like, “Wow! This is such cute wrapping paper, where did you get it?” Allowing the individual to then share the mission of Toys for Tots.
This was a great project to work on! I learned so much about Toys for Tots and they were very gracious with their time and what types of items would still capture their mission and be something they would enjoy using as part of their annual campaigns. I had never designed gift wrap before and it was a great lesson in pattern development. The paper was so successfuly it has no become part of their yearly marketing campaigns. This project received the 2014 Adobe Design Achievement Award.
